Fall seven times, stand up eight,

Hello Pals! I hope you are all doing well. It’s been quite a few months since my last blog post, I had taken a break from blogging. I was going through several life challenges that completely took a toll on my mental well-being. Sinking to my lowest self was the first eye-opener. Sadness overcame me.

At some point, I came to think that Disappointments, failures, and setbacks are part of everyone’s life. Everyone experiences these emotional obstacles from time to time, but one cannot lose sight of themselves and their values. When one buries their head in the sand and refuse to deal with an unpleasant situation, hoping that it will go away, that causes one’s ‘setback.’ There will be numerous obstacles along the way, but the detailed test of a great contestant is how one overcomes and push past them.

Life comes with rejections, failures, and disappointments. Life is as vast as the sea. Whether it is your career, your home life, or your past; we all have gone through hardship in our lives at some point and almost daily we have to overcome obstacles. What I’ve realized is that everyone reacts differently during difficult times. Some better than others. But giving up is never an option.

In the past months, the waves came a bit too strong and hit too hard that it felt like my boat was slowly sinking to the depth of the ocean. But some waves gave the signal that sailing was going right at the moment and I am heading toward the right path.

~Things I learned the past months~

ONE SHOULD FACE IT HEAD ON. One should not beat around the bush. If one is having an issue, one should do something about it. Burying it does nothing but eat away at you as an individual.

ONE SHOULD BE REALISTIC. Realize you may not get the result you want, but rather we sometimes get what we need. Do you have some growing to do before you get what you want? Sometimes the timing isn’t right because there is something better and we just need to be patient.

ONE SHOULD BREAK IT DOWN.
Always keep in mind the end objective. Sometimes the bigger obstacle has smaller obstacles to overcome. When thinking about challenges, break them down and tackle them in smaller pieces.

One’s sole goal in life should be to make sure that they overcome anything that life throws at one. Every hardship, difficulty, and barrier in life has a way of strengthening one. Nothing lasts forever. And everything in life is just temporary both the promising times and the terrible times. It’s how one chooses to respond to these intervals in our lives and how one decides to let them shape and mold them that truly creates a story to tell.

One can not rewrite the past. The present is all you have left to deal with. By dwelling in the past and constantly summarizing past events, one doesn’t allow themselves to move ahead with solutions for their life. When enduring a difficult time in your life, it’s important to admit and accept that you can’t control everything in your life. Pain is a part of life, and that pain helps one grow into a more well-rounded and sophisticated individual who is more eligible for handling the ups and downs in life. But getting through that pain is all about mindset, and it is about choice. Surviving a difficult time is truly a choice. It is the most difficult times in our lives that truly test our faith as well.

To those going through a rough patch, please. take one day at a time. Everything will eventually fall back into place, so just keep going. I want you to know how you light up the world with your smile when you show it off. So please, show it off more. You have the greatest support system in the world and it’s not out there at some place, it is within your consciousness. But you have to connect with it, you have to develop your spiritual state of consciousness. Do not allow the little creature by the name of doubt to creep in.

~Why I have decided to continue blogging~

Writing is my passion. It lets me escape reality and allows me to transfer my thoughts into something I love dearly. I have an undying thirst for writing. Some eat or drink when going through adversities, I write. I love writing and i blog because it is such a fun intellectual challenge.

TWO QUOTES THAT KEEP ME GOING~

  1. “If you cannot be a poet, be the poem.”-David Carradine-

If you cannot be a poet, be the poem. How real and inspiring those words are. If one cannot capture the words, then one should be the words to capture. One should be the exploration, the light, or the moon. if you cannot be someone who can write a poem, be someone who can be a poem to be written about ……. if you can’t create beauty yourself, then try to be an inspiration to others.

2.”I survived because the fire inside me burned brighter than the fire around me”-Joshua Graham-

The Oxygen Of Our Fire Is In Who We Are. The Fire Within Is Always There, Even If It’s Only Gently Simmering. Don’t Ever Let Anyone Dim Your Shine. Heat And Calm.Spark Energy.Set Your Passions Aflame.

Once again Dear followers, I am so lucky to have such heavenly supporters on my blog. Y’all have inspired me to persist and persevere in my craft. I am genuinely grateful.

I would greatly appreciate your comments, and please kindly share your favorite quotes.

  1. Glad you’re back stronger and better. I pray the Lord sustains you and give you peace on every side.

My favourite quote is a quote from Pastor Debola Deji Kurunmi(PDDK)- The toughest things you’ve been through are not secrets to be kept but must be used as part of the curriculum with which you strengthen and straighten others for destiny and life.

    Stay blessed sis.

  3. Thank you for sharing your journey…

This part resonates with me “One should not beat around the bush. If one is having an issue, one should do something about it. Burying it does nothing but eat away at you as an individual.”

Strength is not built in comfort zones but in the place of discomfort and pressure. Every storm comes with blessings and lessons. May God help us to pay attention to the gains in our pains.

  4. Thank you so much friend 🤗

Indeed strength is not build in comfort zones .life isn’t always smooth sailing.Life begins at the end of one’s comfort zone.If one wants to grow their life, one has to be willing to stretch who they are and to experience growing pains.

    May God bless you .
